The most beautiful architectural building located on the square, Trg mladenaca in Novi Sad is the Adamovic palace. It was built in 1911 by the known and respected manufacturer of wine, champagne, and cognac, Alexander Sandor Adamovic. Designers of the Adamovic palace were the Pest architects Geza Markus and Frigyes Spiegel. They build it on three floors, with shops on the ground floor and luxury apartments on the upper floors. On the ground floor, there was a very popular cafe-restaurant “Elita” and former seat of the newspaper “Politika”.
This is the first built a three-story building in the city. The style that observes view to this building is the aesthetics of Hungarian Art Nouveau. The facade is white, richly decorated, and the specificity of the building are chimneys with the Gaudy frame. The palace was restored in 2011, on the centenary of the building the palace.
